Spectrum Production Services is a company based out of Minneapolis that supplies staging and lighting for events, concerts, and anything else that requires a little spectacle.
A lot like the D & K Landscape application, the Spectrum system allows the main user to quickly build quotes based on grouped products called Assemblies. Instantly identifiable are items not in stock, not on hand, or that have to be sub-rented from a 3rd party vendor.
Reports allow Spectrum to know what pieces of equipment are out, which items are overdue, and what items are available for other productions. Scheduling of equipment all prevents Spectrum from attempting to provide equipment on a particular gig when it is already assigned to another.
Quote templates allow Spectrum to save sizeable quotes as templates so that they can be easily generated when a similar event occurs. The app is only used in the Las Vegas office as the Minnesota office is equipped only with Macs and the boss hasn’t yet allowed us to turn it into a web application that can be used by both offices.

Titan Oil & Gas rents equipment and sells products to the oil well maintenance industry. Like many other apps, Titan needed a way in which to easily invoice and bill their clients while having the ability to produce reports and documents specific to their industry.
Because TOG typically had folks in the field…and because the app is more than a couple of year old…there was a need for TOG to be able to enter invoices while in the field in remote locations where they would have no access to internet. Once the user returned to the office, the user would be able to synchronize the local changes with a master database.
One learns a lot when attempting to manually write a synchronization routine. Under ideal circumstances, the sync routine works great but no so much under non-ideal circumstances. So, that feature isn’t utilized, but TOG has implemented a number of other tracking items (Safety Meetings, Sundry Notices, On Site Personnel, Job Risk Analysis, and Employee Time Tracking to the system.

Initially had attempted to use Microsoft's Office SOAP Toolkit to accomplish that, but that didn't work so well. Flipped functionality to PHP and all is good.

| Ink Drop Groups has the task of keeping track of monies in various accounts for beverage companies operating within the casino industry. Application allows for depositing of checks, dividing and distributing checks over specified accounts, payment of checks and dividing and distributing payments over default or specified accounts. With a transaction trail for everything that appears in the database, the system allows for multiple reports allowing IDGN to see (and report to their clients) what is where at all times and how it got there.

| Sportco has a large inventory of sporting goods. They also have an eBay store. The task for this app was to allow Sportco to export its inventory…or parts of its inventory…at any given time so that it can be imported into eBay. Anybody who's ever done this knows that it is not as straight forward as it sounds. In order to help keep track of inventory, system must also download spreadsheets from eBay and load those into a local database. All this while the inventory isn’t in Access at all, its in a DOS-based inventory system I don't even know the name for.
